The most Addictive Games of all time (Monopoly is one of them)
May 18th, 2009 by

Each person who loves games has their tops.

But not all games are addicting games - even those considered classics, like Chess. I am a die-hard fan of addicting games - those that you can stay up playing till the small hours of the morning, or those that get worn out from so much use.

My decisions for the 5 most addicting games of all time may not be yours, but if you have not played them in awhile, give them a try - you could be agreeably surprised! Board Games Of the classics, Monopoly and Scrabble will always be in my top 10. I like words, and though I have never made it to the Scrabble championships, I am getting massive satisfaction out of coming up with clever words. Sometimes the tiles just will not cooperate, but I have been known to sacrifice points for the sheer pleasure of placing a clever word on the board. Again, because I am such hot for words, I like the game Taboo. It is a fully addicting game for 4 players where you need to get your partner to claim a certain word without letting out that word - or any type of it - yourself. It is an enormous challenge, but one that is an absolute hoot! Another truly addicting game is named Treatment . It is one of those unique board games you want to play with folks you know - or folks you would like to get to know a lot better! Each player has their own couch, and each player has to answer minutiae questions on different life stages that are primarily based on mental research.

When you land in a’therapy’ space, you’re’in therapy’ with the player who owns the space. He has to envision how you’d answer a personality query.  Other Games and Puzzles I haven’t included any computer games or jigsaw puzzles in my personal list of the most addicting games in history, but they very well could be included in your list. Whatever your private faves, by all means, play frequently and play well!

Playing Monopoly: Addicting Board Games for Every Age!
May 17th, 2009 by

With so many forms of entertainment available today, games and puzzles remain a neat way to pass the time, a strategy of implanting good sportsmanship in youngsters, and a technique to bring families together. In reality, there are addicting games for folks of every age. Monopoly has to rank on nearly everybody’s list of the most addicting games ever.

Who hasn’t spent hours plotting to trade railroads, or hoping beyond hope that they can manage to avoid landing on the Boardwalk space with the hotel on it? Discussions continue to rage to whether money paid to the banker goes in the middle of the board and the fortunate person to land on Free Parking rakes in the money ( the official rules say no, but each family appears to have its own convention of rules ). There may be more than 2 dozen great versions of Monopoly, some of which incorporate themes and others of which are designed as kid’s games. Monopoly Jr. Is a way to get the more youthful ones concerned in and worked up about Monopoly, and is still fun for adults.

Essentially, a kid’s movement from the Junior version to the ‘real’ version of Monopoly is similar to a rite of passage. When it comes to themes, there is a Monopoly game for almost everybody. People who love nostalgia will enjoy playing the I like Lucy version of Monopoly, whilst youngsters of every age enjoy the Pokemon, Spider-Man, and Disney Monopoly editions.

Other themes include Harley-Davidson, The Simpsons, Scooby-Doo, and Peanuts - and there’s even a .com version! Naturally, while 2 people can play Monopoly, the best Monopoly games involve at least 3 or 4 players.

For adults, rummy cards are a fun way to pass the time, as are cribbage, Uno, and Skip-Bo. Completing jigsaw puzzles are on the head of many folks’s list of addictive activities. It is a great solo activity, as well as being a fun family pastime. Particularly acceptable for stormy days, jigsaw puzzles keep idle fingers busy and make the time go by fast. When it comes to addicting games, no-one can dispute that video games are absolutely soaking up. Even so, Monopoly is an example of the few unique board games that folks of every age can play, enjoy, and become addicted to.
