Playing Monopoly: Addicting Board Games for Every Age!

With so many forms of entertainment available today, games and puzzles remain a neat way to pass the time, a strategy of implanting good sportsmanship in youngsters, and a technique to bring families together. In reality, there are addicting games for folks of every age. Monopoly has to rank on nearly everybody’s list of the most addicting games ever.

Who hasn’t spent hours plotting to trade railroads, or hoping beyond hope that they can manage to avoid landing on the Boardwalk space with the hotel on it? Discussions continue to rage to whether money paid to the banker goes in the middle of the board and the fortunate person to land on Free Parking rakes in the money ( the official rules say no, but each family appears to have its own convention of rules ). There may be more than 2 dozen great versions of Monopoly, some of which incorporate themes and others of which are designed as kid’s games. Monopoly Jr. Is a way to get the more youthful ones concerned in and worked up about Monopoly, and is still fun for adults.

Essentially, a kid’s movement from the Junior version to the ‘real’ version of Monopoly is similar to a rite of passage. When it comes to themes, there is a Monopoly game for almost everybody. People who love nostalgia will enjoy playing the I like Lucy version of Monopoly, whilst youngsters of every age enjoy the Pokemon, Spider-Man, and Disney Monopoly editions.

Other themes include Harley-Davidson, The Simpsons, Scooby-Doo, and Peanuts - and there’s even a .com version! Naturally, while 2 people can play Monopoly, the best Monopoly games involve at least 3 or 4 players.

For adults, rummy cards are a fun way to pass the time, as are cribbage, Uno, and Skip-Bo. Completing jigsaw puzzles are on the head of many folks’s list of addictive activities. It is a great solo activity, as well as being a fun family pastime. Particularly acceptable for stormy days, jigsaw puzzles keep idle fingers busy and make the time go by fast. When it comes to addicting games, no-one can dispute that video games are absolutely soaking up. Even so, Monopoly is an example of the few unique board games that folks of every age can play, enjoy, and become addicted to.
